If you're ever unsure about the technique of thumb nailing vehicles, google image search that dude ^ and you will be amazed at the sheer volume of his work. I've seen his actual sketchbooks and they are filled to the brim with page after page of designs. He's the real deal.

WEEK 11: Game Project Development 4 DESN3012

Morning, folks! Don't forget to sign in.

Here's another amazing free organizational tool for you: Trello!
I'm using it on a freelance job and it looks great! Great for groups or even folks like yourselves managing multiple deadlines:  https://trello.com/tour

I know you have animation due this week so I hope to help anyone who needs it with the final polishing  phase of your shot. The polish pass is usually the most fun for animators - after all the hard work of blocking and posing, you finally get to finesse your shot and show everyone the lovely, fluid animation that's been playing in your head for days or weeks. :D
Digital Tutors recently released a really nice 1-hour tutorial on polishing techniques:
Many animators have documented their polishing process. Here's a really nice one from Malcon Pierce  (Tangled, Ice Age 3)

WEEK 5: 2D Digital Art 1 - Comic Book Art in Photoshop, continued -- Adding the Final Colour Effects

Pencils: Greg Capullo Inks: Jonathan Glapion Colours: FCO
Now it's time to finalize our image by adding colour to mold the 3D look of the characters. We'll continue using the special brushes we created last week and add a bunch of new tools and techniques such as layer styles or blend modes, gradients, highlights and shadows, and blur effects. These are great pro tricks to make your artwork look really slick and get used to the amazing power of Photoshop.

This assignment is due today in class!
Remember, late projects are only allowed with advance permission and subject to late penalties.
